My living room dining room combination was cream color And I was quite bored with it, so I decided to go to a beautiful green on a few walls. At first, when the paint went on, I thought it’s quite bright maybe too bright but now that I’ve spent the rest of the day staring at it and seeing the different colors that changes as the sun is going down, I absolutely love it.

Most painting problems you see a few years down the road, peeling edges, bubbling surfaces, uneven sheen, don't come from the paint. They come from what happened before the paint went on. Or didn't happen. At Mendin's, prep isn't a step we rush through to get to the visible work faster. It's the work. Every surface is cleaned, sanded where it needs to be sanded, and primed on bare wood before a finish coat goes anywhere near it. We put the product we're using in writing on your estimate, so you know exactly what's going on your home and why. It's not a complicated philosophy. It's just how you make a paint job that's still looking good in ten years.

A properly prepped and painted exterior should hold up for seven to ten years before it needs attention again. The prep is what drives that number. Cut corners on cleaning and priming, and you’re looking at a repaint in two or three years instead.
What paint brands do you use?
We work with premium lines like Sherwin-Williams Duration and Emerald, and Benjamin Moore Aura and Advance, depending on the project. We’ll put the specific product on your estimate so you know exactly what’s going on your home before we start.
How disruptive is exterior painting to my daily routine?
Less than most people expect. Our professional crews will be outside the whole time, so there’s no need to clear furniture or rearrange your day indoors. We’ll let you know if we need access to anything specific before we start.
Is cabinet painting worth it compared to replacing them?
For most kitchens, yes. A full spray-applied cabinet finish using a hard-wearing enamel gives you a factory-smooth result that holds up to daily use, at a fraction of what new cabinets cost. The process takes three to five days minimum when it’s done right, and the finish can last ten or more years with normal care.
Why is your quote higher than another one I got?
The difference almost always comes down to prep depth and product quality. A lower quote typically means fewer prep steps, a builder-grade paint, or fewer coats. We’d rather show you exactly what’s in our estimate and let you compare line by line than compete on price alone.
